Today has been a good day so far. My husband cleaned a majority of the house so that's less I have to do. He's currently tearing out a wall in the bathroom. Oh joy. I will take pics! I have dishes and laundry to do and just haven't gotten around to it yet. I was busy chasing Mackenzie this morning, then we went in to town for some things, then I came home and tried to lay down with her for a nap. She couldn't go to her crib due the noise in the bathroom. Now I am trying to wake up and am waiting on a friend to bring over his daughter so we can keep her overnight. This is one weekend that I don't have to run all over the country to get kids but we agreed to watch a child. Are we nuts????
I went to Starbucks today. I haven't been in forever. My boss gave all of us gift cards for Christmas so I finally used it. After I ordered our drinks, I noticed really great mugs and cups I would've preferred over the coffee. I could've bought two with my gift card! I had a Tall Skinny Vanilla Latte. It wasn't that great, but wasn't bad. For 90 calories, I won't complain.
What else did I eat today?
1 whole egg and 2 egg whites with spinach, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms topped with 2Tbsp cheese and salsa
1 piece Whole Grain Toast
Tall Skinny Vanilla Latte
Spinach Salad with Mandarin Oranges, Onion, Tuna, and Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
1 cup of whole wheat pasta with bok choy and 2 shrimp
1/2 slice reduced calorie Provolone Cheese
1 boiled egg
I've only had about 8 ounces of water but I am working on a 20 ounce bottle of Smart Water.
Dinner will be a Southbeach Pizza. I HATE that I am eating this. HATE it. I've been eating clean for the past week at home. Everything I ate came from The Eat Clean Diet book. The salad dressing was processed, but everything else has been clean. We're having a friends daughter over and everyone else is having pizza. I am not eating the SB pizza because I just love pizza so much and don't want to feel left out. I'm eating it just to be like everyone else. I spent a year cooking an entirely different meal for myself when I was dieting. I didn't want to cut out things that my family loved. This time, I have NO problem feeding my family what I eat. None. Does Clint REALLY need to eat chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy? No. He doesn't need the calorie laden garbage. I am not trying to keep him from it. My thoughts are that if he wants it he can eat it at a restaurant. He has been enjoying my clean meals. He doesn't complaining when he eats fish and veggies. Heck, he's lost a good 20 lbs. I can't say that it's from my cooking. I actually think it's from a more physically demanding job and he's not eating as much. Anyway, I have decided to skip the days of everyone eating something different. So, I am going to be flexible and have some pizza too. In a sense, we are eating something different. But in my mind, it's the same. (On a side note, I don't mind occasionally having something different. And if he wants the chicken fried steak or something else, I would be more than happy to cook it for him. He knows that all he has to do is ask). Additionally, I don't want to make a clean meal tonight, then have to eat it again tomorrow night. I don't mind eating leftovers. I don't mind at all. But I am assuming there will be some leftover tomorrow and I will eat it Monday and I don't want to eat the same thing 3 days in a row.
I have some other news but will post it in another post!
